Faculty and staff moving to the area should check out the Relocation Assistance Program which provides a variety of services including information on housing, neighborhoods, and schools. The program also offers referrals to real estate agents or to a national relocation assistance company specializing in serving the higher education community. For faculty doing a sabbatical, housing information for Maryland and abroad can be found at Sabbatical Homes. You can also consult the Off-Campus Housing Services on-line database for local short-term housing options. The University of Maryland does not operate on-campus housing for visiting faculty.
